This campaign is a partnership between the Sierra Club, Friends of the Chattahoochee, Environment Georgia and Green Law.

This site is the organizational website for a coalition of individuals and groups representing Georgians who have joined together to participate in decision making about our environmental and energy future as we have seen our state lead Early County in the wrong direction.

Many varied backgrounds, geographical areas, and political ideologies are among us. We range from neighbors of the permitted new coal plant, to long time activists, to religious people concerned about protecting the creation around us. We all believe that we should take time to make the right decisions about these complex issues with valid information and analysis.

No matter who YOU are, you are welcome to join us here as we promote work toward a sustainable, economically viable, and environmentally rational energy policy in Georgia – antiquated coal-fired technology is not the right direction for our State. Recently, a growing group of organizations has joined in our fight to ask the CEO of Dynegy, Bruce Williamson, to withdraw the plans to site the coal-fired power plant in Early County.
